Process Portfolio - 40% of External Assessment
Students in SL and HL will submit carefully selected materials which demonstrate their experimentation, exploration, manipulation, and refinement of their art activities over the two year course.
The work should show how the student explored and worked with a variety of techniques, effects and processes.
Work can come from your notebooks, practice pieces, and especially, your process journal.
What should be included in the Process Journal?

- Thumbnail Drawings
- Skill development
- Materials explorations/experimentations
- Observations - visual and written
- Brainstorming ideas/lists
- Responses to works of art that you’ve seen
- Evaluations of your own art making experiences
- Reflections on gallery and museum visits
- Responses to feedback you’ve received
